What is the difference between shrink and stretch film

Shrink film and stretch film are both types of plastic film that are used in a variety of packaging applications. Stretch film is made from linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), which is a stretchy material that can be stretched to up to twice its original length. This makes it ideal for wrapping around objects that are irregular in shape. Shrink film, on the other hand, is made from polyethylene (PE), which is a non-stretchy material. When heat is applied to shrink film, it shrinks down to about half its original size. This makes it ideal for wrapping around objects that need to be tightly secured, such as food products.
